He did note that the same was said of Carter & Clinton. You have to ask yourself why? If he was only giving an example then why did the author have to invest another paragraph to defend it? I agree that the bulk of the article was a valid set of points about overheated rhetoric. It necessary for the author to bring audience into agreement for the trick to work. The choice of topics means that the target audience will be people making up their mind about current political events. TP
