Incompetent journalism

"The author is a very straight-forward, no hype sort and made a very strong case for the product, aknowledging that some initial glitches are possible but that they are all correctable. Indicated that he has used the drives for a number of years with absolutely no hardware or software problems."

Journalistic crap.

The job of a journalist is not to give us his experience but to ferret out a more general one. The fact of the matter is that JAZ has had driver problems sufficiently pervasive that Iomega has an 800 number for JAZ problem calls with no charge for chatting. I have used it three times myself and found the technicians courteous and rating about 7 out of 10 for technical expertise. So, the problems are now recognized by Iomega, but God knows it took them long enough.
