"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
these wolves in sheep's clothing boast of not having a cross and refuse to be called a church, but rather wish to be known as a synagogue!
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves......Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.......Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.... (Matthew 7)
Santiago, do you see where Christ contrasts those who merely "saith" and do not enter into the kingdom of heaven with those who "doeth" the will of his Father in heaven?
protestants teach a superficial Christianity where you can draw nigh unto God with your lips, while your heart is far from him. protestants like to giggle and drink espresso and wave their hands and flap their gums while they listen to guitars and drummers when they go to church. they don't go to worship God, they go to be entertained. we are told that if we want to follow Christ we must DENY ourselves. when do protestants ever speak of denying themselves anything? |
