My father lives in 90210 and runs a food drive, well he did for awhile anyway. I guess he was just collecting food from his rich neighbors to go and give to other well to do people? As long as there is rampant capitalism on this planet there will be, what you call, a welfare mentality. I agree with this so called welfare mentality. You apparently agree that it is a good thing to let big business exploit and manipulate the poor. Big business needs to be stopped and so does the movement globalization and free trade (it isn't). Just my opinion. Lets not go off in that direction anyway. TVI has an outrageous record in the Philippines. SUR hasn't really done much there except talk about drilling this massive property supposedly the size of Busang or something. MIO is a far better bet if one wants to invest there now that things have changed. Lastly you said that the French have a problem..."CULTURE". I suspect the next ridiculous thing you might say is that the USA has culture?
