So do you still think this, even tho Russia was responsible for 80% of the German casualties?

What do you want from me? I corrected my statement of ommission and acknowledged the Russian role in waging WWII.

But am I supposed to now bestow some form of "blessing of gratefulness" upon your beloved memory of the Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin TOO??!!

NO DOUBT that the Russian Campaign was the site of most of the largest and most brutal battles of the war (Stalingrad, Kursk, Sevastopol.. etc)

But again.. Stalin's rivalry with Hitler was one of the PRIMARY REASONS for the war in the first place..

So from the perspective of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY, the Soviet Union, as well soon learned after V-E day, was NOT truly an ally of principle, but merely one of convenience...

As soon as Nazi Germany was destroyed, WWII was replaced by a 40 year cold war with Communism... All we did was replace one totalitarian enemy with another.
