Bush is two-faced on Iraq. On one hand he is pretending he's going for the final "victory", and on the other hand secretly bowing to pressure to withdraw before the midterm elections mostly for political reasons. This is no way to begin or end a war, both beginning and ending coinciding with a midterm election in hopes of stealing or retaining congress.

And yes, JFK wanted to end the Vietnam War before it escalated, and may have been murdered because of this. By the same mentality people who support Halliburton and the smearvets these days.
