I used to track the minis but I realized a couple of years ago that I could find no correlation with the markets and the positions turn on a dime. In terms of the COT, the only contract I have found of value in possibly gauging market direction is the large SPX contract. But again its not really about sentiment for me right now, its about the charts I am seeing. I've mentioned many I like but keep an eye on the SOX here, its breaking up out of rising wedge off the 2004 low and if it is going to turn, it has to do it soon or I think it launches as well.
