None of that informs the argument. The debate which rages across your country and across the world has NOTHING to do with whether or not SH is a bad guy or whether or not he violated sanctions. CAN YOU READ, BUSTER??

The debate is about whether or not the war had legal basis in self defense or (as the Brits claim is legally possible)--on humanitarian grounds.

I have NOT said it is NOT. What I have said is that it is roundly disputed by intelligent people everywhere and I have expressed the view and the hope that civilized countries will address a formal policy to legalize invasion for humanitarian reasons so that "serious consequences" does not become the gossamer basis for invading other countries and making up the parameters and extent of the invasion as you go along.
