Bit of hyperbole on my part, the intentional kind. <g>

I was writing about those who currently control the Republican party and not Barry Goldwater.

I don't know that the neocons control the Republican party. They control foreign policy. The social conservatives and the business conservatives still have a lot of sway elsewhere. The neocons aren't in conflict with the rest but they're not driving it.

Edit: Ooooh. It's started snowing. That is much more appealing once the furnace is running. My house is warming up. Long way to go when it starts at 53...
