Knocking off murderous dictators is all well and good... likely to be appreciated by the locals and downtrodden everywhere.

But, I'd argue that OCCUPYING foreign lands for extended periods is likely to prove highly counter-productive toward the goal of achieving liberty, human rights, and democracy.

(Historically the locals tend to object after a while, don't 'cha know. ESPECIALLY when you fire a lot of them and try to promulgate laws that favor your own <foreign> companies.)
