December 5, 1:32 pm ET ; SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Halozyme Therapeutics Inc. and Baxter International Inc. said Monday that the Food and Drug Administration approved the drug delivery product Hylenex. The approval is the first for Halozyme. Partner Baxter Healthcare Corp., a unit of Baxter, will market and sell the product in the United States. Hylenex is an injected product that uses a human enzyme to improve the dispersion and absorption of other injected drugs, an alternative to animal-derived products currently in use.
