The Ketchikan bridge would never pay off, but the Anchorage bridge across Knik Arm is worth considering because it's planned as a high-traffic toll-bridge. Kind of costly to insure though, since it's in a severe earthquake hazard zone with extreme tidal ranges like the Bay of Fundy in Canada.

One potential mega-project for them in Australia might be a proposed $50 billion national irrigation system to pipe water from the wet northern area around Darwin to the rest of the country. Sounds like they could easily afford it with all that retirement money.
