Dear John, I don't know what to write here. But let's make a start. Some things take a few days.

To answer your question, belatedly, in regard to <And that's before DNA Engineering [TM] gets into gear. CDNA [TM] will make CDMA look an interesting sideshow. CDNA [Cyber Deoxyribonucleic Acid] and CDMA between them are going to change what it means to be human. Get ready for a rapid punctuated equilibrium transition in human evolution - let's hope we don't get punctuated against our will [if we are quite clear on what our will means - jfred reckons we have a free one but freedom continues to elude me so I'm not convinced]. >

You wondered: <CDNA, please expand, we are all looking for the meaning of life, could this be IT. >

About a decade ago, or more, I thought that telecommunications in the form of CDMA would take me through to the 21st century and then I'd move on to biotechs, where I thought and still think there are stupendously vast opportunities. Such as, for example, stem cell research or whatever is needed to make spinal cord injuries regenerate completely. Or, even to make our central nervous systems regenerate completely [which might be a bit more difficult].

Just as some animals can regrow whole limbs, complete with nerves, I can imagine that regrowing a spinal cord or cervical ganglion could be achieved. Clone some of a person's stem cells, give them some growth factor juice, stir in some amino acids and stuff and turn them loose near an injury which will them fix itself up to match the person's DNA as in their design plan.

Add on some telomeres to give longevity to the repairs and hey presto, back to new again.

Unfortunately, people like Tero, registered dinkum neurobiogeeks decide to drop what they know and start dabbling in other things, such as market shares of GSM Guild Hagfish members and telecommunications shenanigans.

I dare say you won't read this before your spinal cord operation on Friday, being completely immobile flat on your back reflecting on the meaning of life, while looking at a ceiling, but I thought I'd plop it in here while I'm thinking about things.

CDMA seems to be well established, with bonus OFDM turbocharging following the Flarion acquisition, and the whole world lining up to buy 3GSM or some other variant of CDMA/OFDM. For years I have predicted an anti-monopoly onslaught against QUALCOMM once the stack of cash got big enough to attract hordes of lawyers. It's almost a marker that a company has reached peak performance when anti-trust/anti-monopoly attacks are all the rage and people start drooling about the evil monster taking over the world.

It might be that it's time for me to move on into my very long-planned move to biotechs, which got an early test run in 1998 with Techniclone and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma activities.

Or maybe I should go directly to the next project, the new cybercurrency, the Q, or U [Quid or Utopia - named after a cafe in Ohakune, which is a nice name for a currency to replace all fiat currencies on a person to person basis instead of a state-controlled basis].

The world is full of opportunity. Which is a corollary of being full of problems.

I know what to write here:

HOPE,

Mqurice
