Yes, they do plan to launch an on-line bookselling site. I think it should be any time now (this is from memory, mind you). I believe, too, that I read something that says they expect not to start out losing (and spending) a lot on it the way Barnes & Noble has. I think they've been waiting to have it fully functional before launching, and I doubt they've given up very much market share by waiting a bit. They can learn from the mistakes and successes of the others, and the reputation they already have as booksellers means that they shouldn't be starting at ground zero when they do launch.
