I don't hate the US military. I hate the militarization of America. The founders didn't want us to have a standing army - I think I agree with them. They were right. globalsecurity.org As for YOU, driving a missile sub around, protecting us from..what? At a cost of how many millions a year? It's a total waste! You are a recipient of a form of government welfare. On the dole. A deadbeat. And we could multiply your cost by a thousand useless professions in the military. We need to clear out the deadwood, turn you Navy guys into grunts in Iraq. We can't afford you deadbeats.
