There is a lesson to be learned here, i.e., listen to the analysts and then forget their opinion. I did load up (but on PRIA, Tencor, Asyst) while they were getting like "3.0" consensus ratings and were screaming buys. One guy on the MF board was shorting Asyst at 28 pre-split!

The real money to be made is to get these guys before the analysts decide to bless them. VTCH is a great example and I am getting in now. Analysts regularly undervalue the growth of these little systems integrator companies. They price them like computer resellers, but businesses don't need to buy computers, they need to hire someone who will make their network function like it's supposed to and they'll pay for it. They have other things to do than learn systems managment. They can save a lot of money with a good network, but they don't want to waste a lot of time on it. So they can afford to pay someone well to install it and to be there when it malfunctions. Believe me, when the network goes squirrely, there's no more beautiful sound in the world than "it's fixed".

I have made as much money off these guys as from the wafer fabs. Only difference, there's not much more money to make from wafer fab stocks, everybody and his brother suddenly loves them, while these guys continue to be undervalued. Don't know about the management abilities of these guys, but if they're good, 30% a year growth is sustainable for the rest of our lifetime.
