The Dems have to find their own somewhat more ethical version of Karl Rove -- they need to DEFINE THE GOP and their opponents before the other side brands them...Operation research is essential...James Carville is the last one to run a serious operation on the Dem side...Kerry's team was TOTALLY overwhelmed in the 2004 election cycle...You have to anticipate things like the SmearVet Campaign -- and respond quickly and decisively.
