Semiconductor Analyst provides industy outlook on CNBC

Bernstein's Semiconductor Analyst Adam Parker expects a positive tone on the Texas Instruments (TXN) Q4 Mid-Qtr Update, which is slated for today after the close. The analyst noted he expected the co to boost their revenue outlook a "little bit". He notes they are not seeing that much inventory yet but notes they are not wanting to add alot of money to the stock. The analyst expects Intel (INTC) to also guide up a bit in tomorrow's Mid Qtr Update. The analysts concerns are mainly in capacity constraints, noting flash memory and chipsets. However, he notes the stock has been rising as investors believe Q1 could be better than seasonal as the co works through its capacity issues. Finally, the analyst comments on the overall industry, providing a positive outlook on the duopoly of Intel and AMD given PC's and notebook computers doing really well. The analyst noted they are still seeing strong datapoints in Asia.
