the answer is yes to your question.
During and after WW II, there were a number of Nazi's who became active in the Syrian military and intelligence as well as scattered about the arab world.

they continued their ideology in their new host countries.

not that the arabs didnt commit pogroms without help from the nazi's, but that it wasnt a national policy prior to WW II
