Re: What's All the Fuss -- A Y2K Investment Quiz

1. Is the Year 2000, "Millennium Bug", a $200-$600 billion problem?
A. Yes, I believe the estimates by the leading research firms
B. No, it's all a hoax! All those F500 company contracts announced by ALYD, IMRS, KEA etc are all part of an elaborate conspiracy perpetrated by James Bond's arch enemy, Goldfinger, to prop up the price of gold
C. Maybe. I don't read trade journals, I don't trust the sci fi channel; I'm waiting for Ted Koppel, Time and Newsweek to tell me the problem is real-- and PEs of Y2K stocks to hit 4 digits.

[If "A", please continue]
[If "B", others that agree with you post here: Subject 2448 ]
[If "C", please read the posts here: Subject 16203]

2. When choosing a Y2K stock, I want a company that is:
A. 50% automated
B. 75% automated
C. 90% automated
D. The one with "The world's only fully automated toolset"
E. Automated enough that well-known companies like Aer Lingus, 3M, McDonnell Douglas, Nabisco etc. are willing to sign paying contracts with them -- like ALYD.

3. I feel qualified to comment on the high PEs of Y2K stocks because:
A. I've already been through a millennium bug on my planet
B. I've consulted with numerous Psychic Hotlines
C. I've made money on stocks with low PEs so that makes me qualified
D. I had a chance to buy ALYD at 8 and I'm pissed

4. I feel qualified to comment on ALYD's business plan because:
A. I built a Y2K company from the ground up in a past life
B. I'm a mental wizard
C. I have an account on SI, so I must be an expert
D. I just like to see my name in print

5. Every time I see old quotes from Y2K company CEOs dredged up I think:
A. Boy, what a stupid lot they are
B. They should have used my astrologer
C. They all must have been hypnotized at Ross Perot's wedding
D. These guys have obviously never been through a Y2K crises before

- Jeff

P.S. Aloha from Hawaii. Internet access is long distance from the Big Island and I have not had time to be on-line for more than a few minutes, and just once before now. Keep in mind that ALYD likes to save news for when I go away for some reason (gg).
