May be he's holding because gain on sale margins are so low that he hopes they will improve. Look here. This is the most significant piece of news I've recently read. Message 21947522 If it's true then the bubble is toast. The bubble needs a steady stream of new marginal buyers. Secondary MBS market has kept the financing bubble alive. If the financing gets withdrawn then the bubble can't grow.
