Rumsfeld Expected to Retire in Early 2006 By Kudlow Money Politic$ The word out is that Don Rumsfeld is expected to retire in early 2006. There is some speculation that Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) may get the nod as his replacement. That’s an interesting thought. Lieberman has certainly been helpful of late. But my question is whether Mr. Lieberman is tough enough to run the Defense Department?
