TP, You're a little confused. That was Hastert's bill that went down in such a defeat.

Hastert basically challenged the Dems to put up or shut up with the "immediate pullout" rhetoric. Most Dems chose to shut up. Including Murtha.

Now the Dems are settling on the "timetable" nuance. Maybe it's the Dems who are confused.
