why do they need to quell gold?
It is meaningless as far as the CPI or PPI is concerned.

Besides, how does a broad brush move quell gold?
How the H do you know gold would fall if they hiked 100 basis points?

You dont.
No one does.
Please accept as proof gold rising WITH a rising US dollar.
Who thought that?

Please remember gold does well in DEFLATION.
Perhaps the rise in gold is signaling deflation.
Now if that is the case, what do you think a 100 basis point hike would do?
