~~~~~~~~~~~~~> The Problem
So, I have named my prey (the elusive 100 bagger), and now I need to know where to start. With over 13,000 publicly traded companies(read this somewhere) and five major U.S. exchanges(AMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ, The OTC Bulletin Board run by Nasdaq, and Pink Sheets, where should I hunt? Well, in my very humble opinion, it should begin where the prey is most often seen....the pink sheets. There! I have already narrowed my scope down considerably in one fell swoop.
Welcome to FLAMINGO LAND....wanna see how it works?
Check this out...
pinksheets.com
But, I thought everyone in the whole investing world said not to go there because there was not enough financial information for T/A(technical analysis). Paradoxically, that's exactly what I like about the pinks...very limited information. We can read every PR and financial report in no time(compared to tackling a large cap or even a small cap), and then do some background checks, and then call the CEO...all in about 2 hours. Can you imagine digging through Federal Expresses SEC filings and PR's, and then giving the Fred Smith a call to check things out? Exactly.
How do I know if it's a flamingo or not? Well, what I use to decide is pinksheets.com ( pinksheets.com ) itself. I go to the website and type in the ticker and "click" go. If it says "Primary Venue: Pink Sheets" right under the company name then I consider it a flamingo. If it says anything else, then not(this can change quickly....in the event of a halt, a company will often go to the grey sheets...a lower and slower exchange). If it's not a flamingo then I just forget it because I want to specialize in pinks only(I am applying the principle that it's better to do one thing supremely well, than many poorly...besides, there are much smarter people than me crunching the numbers all the time in the exchanges above my head...I know who I can trust in those realms).
So what do you guys think? Do you guys agree to Flamingo Land for our happy hunting ground for our 100 baggers?
P.S. I'm putting a "Primary Topic" link in the board box to keep things on track.
