I thought it was 80k and that you need a change of 40k to get to even. With your numbers, it would be closer to 60k.

The amendment process, albeit difficult, is designed to change what the founders did when folks think they were wrong from the getgo like slavery or something that became an impediment to democracy like I believe the EC has. Why is it so hard for you to understand what i am saying. Yes it is unlikely for such an amendment to go thru at this time but if it did it then becomes part of the constitution regardless of founders intent.
