I'm not sure I know what we're discussing here. We may have gotten our wires crossed.

Comcast's (outrageous) prices are in large part a function of what they are charged by their suppliers. You'd only get about three channels for twelve bucks just based on those costs. What makes you think Comcast could provide them for less?

When my county first got cable, I paid seven bucks a month. Now it's fifty. That's for basic plus. No digital, no premium. If there's some way I can get cable for twelve bucks, I'd be thrilled to learn about it.

Right now I have two months free digital. A trial. If I want to keep it, which I won't, it will cost an extra thirteen, I think. Right now I'm watching a Queen concert on LOGO. Nice, but not worth the extra money.
