Mr. Patrick Sheridan reports

GUYANA GOLDFIELDS INTERSECTS 149 METRES OF 3.09 G/T AU

Guyana Goldfields Inc. has received additional assay results from the drilling program at the Aurora mine property, Guyana.

Drilling continues to significantly expand the auriferous mineralized zones on the property. The company has received results from five holes in the Rory's Knoll area and awaits assay results from many more diamond drill holes on the property. Three of five holes have intersected significant gold mineralization. Results are reported hereunder.

Hole RKD-37

This hole was designed to test for the extension of the mineralized structure at vertical depths of approximately 750 metres. This is approximately 370 m below the deepest hole to date in the zone, hole RKD-27. The hole intersected the northern edge of the mineralized structure and returned 96 m at two grams per tonne Au, including 52 m at 2.95 g/t Au. A series of wedge holes is planned from this master hole to more fully explore the central parts of the mineralized structure.

Hole RKD-38

Hole RKD-38 was designed to test the mineralized zone at a vertical depth of approximately 550 m. Excessive deviation in the direction of the hole forced the company to abandon the hole at approximately 280 m. Prior to the hole being abandoned, the drilling intersected a near-surface, previously unrecognized, zone of high-grade mineralization. This zone assayed 26.23 g/t Au over nine metres approximately 100 m below surface.

Hole RKD-39

Hole RKD-39 was targeted to test for vertical continuity of gold mineralization between holes RKD-27 and RKD-23, and for lateral continuity to the north of hole RKD-34 (105.7 m at 11.53 g/t Au) this hole returned 149 m grading 3.09 g/t Au. Included within this section were two higher-grade zones of 25 m grading 7.96 g/t Au and 18 m grading 9.51 g/t Au.

Drilling results indicate that the mineralization at Aurora has significant potential for expansion. Petrography work has demonstrated that the gold mineralization in the Aurora area is likely derived from a major intrusive event. It is likely that all eight mineralized zones drill tested to date are related to this event.

Continuing reconnaissance work by company geologists has led to the discovery of a significant new zone of gold mineralization located approximately three kilometres from the Rory's Knoll area. Deep auguring in this area has returned values in excess of 10 g/t Au within a highly anomalous zone measuring approximately 200 m by 250 m and open to the north. This area will be a priority for drilling early in 2006.
