TJ, For some fun this weekend, I might do some maths.

Take US M3 at 10trl, for example

Divide by the total number of gold ounces know to exist on the planet, 4.8bn...call it 5bn.

$2000/oz

I wonder what the cumulative value of all the developed nations' M3 divided by 5bn is? Even if the US M3 is up to half the global M3, you get $4000/oz.

I had spent the past few weeks adding some gold pandas, as I noticed the collectibles hadn't moved as much and POG and I was enjoying the 8x leverage on my futures. I like the low mintage Gold Panda Proof sets from 1992-4, around 2000-2500 mintage. When the gold bull is parabolic, say after the Fed can't raise anymore for the housing market's pain, I expect these low mintage sets (only 1100 of the 1993s, for example, we officially exported out of China) will command a significant premium.

I just wish I'd had the conviction to buy a bunch more futures when I did on 11/16, the night gold sliced decisively through $470 in Asian trade, when I made my major rotation into gold:
