That is the most incredible asinine thing I have read regarding school discipline. Heck, here in S. Fla. its REQUIRED BY LAW you be bilingual in Dade County and today even as far north as Palm Beach County Spanish is pretty widespread. Personally, I consider it bad manners to speak a foreign language around people who dont understand it, but this incident doesnt sound to me like it was like that at all and in any case no ground for suspension. If they sue that school board I bet they win. jdn
