Alan, I think what's at stake is Brent's dogma that the church is all things provided you believe as he believes and attend the denomination he attends. This is the crux of the problems with many church members in all denominations.

What I am trying to impress is that God has not called a particular religion but that each individual who is a born again Christian has been called by the grace of God.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Eph. 2:8

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matt 18:20

This works doctrine is going to cause many to stumble simply because that there is nothing they can do to please God through good works or by belonging to a certain religion.

IMO, there are many born again believers from all faiths includin most certainly Messianic Jews. Who are we to say that God has not called people of all faiths? There is nothing impossible where God is concerned.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Titus 3:5

James
