If you think Israel is worth dying for, why aren't you over in Iraq doing your share of the fighting?
I have an interesting ME population vs oil~peak study that's very provocative , showing the Arab populations peaking around 2040, just about the time oil really becomes a scarce commodity ....population of Cairo should be around 40mil by then .
The one thing that the Israeli's have been good at , is making some extraordinarlily intelligent choices in how to survive and make full efficient use of the land , while not overtaxing the resource base ...plus the wide intellectual technology base which also helps them to survive and thrive . They also have a wealth of things that they could teach others in the region how to cope , and they do .
One can only pray that the Arab's have a rennaisance of thinking in regards to handling these looming population and economic forcasts with some fresh intellectual vigor , sans taut theologies that limit progress , and widespread distrust and hatred of each other based on Tribe, Sect, and country . The idea of unified "Arab World" is a call to incredulity in reality .

Otherwise , they can stupidly and stubbornly always measure their wealth in the numbers of martyrs they create willing to die rather than produce , and try and take everyone else with them in a theological/political doctrine of suicidal futility ....would be nice too if Americans would stop their rampant consumerism , but then again the world depends on that doesn't it ? But America has like Europe, curbed her population growth somewhat , even trying to accomodate these overflowing ME populations , not to very high success .
Interesting catch 22 ....you think its fun now , wait to see how they will be partying in 2050 or so , in the ME .
40mil living in Cairo alone...
