If anything saves Rove (which it won't) it will be that his lawyer is so incompetent that it deprived him of an effective defense. Unfortunately for Rove, that doesn't apply to grand juries, only at trial. For Luskin to become part of the story is unbelievable ... sure criminal defense hotshots like Roy Black will try the case in the newspapers, but they do NOT become evidence in the case against their clients. Luskin should have got Rove a new lawyer the minute Novak told Luskin that Cooper was the source ... case closed, at that point he could no longer effectively represent Rove. Rove cannot now claim that Luskin did not share that little tidbit with him given that it was Luskin's DUTY to share it, and to not share it constitutes clear malpractice. Rove is as screwed as Libby.
