In my post last night about Eugene McCarthy, I noted the opportunism of Robert Kennedy Sad to see that he passed away yesterday. I worked on the McCarthy campaigns in Oregon and California back in '68 as an energetic and somewhat naive high school kid. I could almost write a book about it. There was more than a little animosity expressed between the Kennedy and McCarthy campaigns. It was quite an experience... Edit: I still have some posters and bumper stickers from that '68 election somewhere tucked away in a drawer.
