DESERT DIRT INDEX VALUES AS OF SEPTEMBER 12:
NOTE: The only company in the Index announcing news during the week of Sept 5 was IPMCF, who said they had added Bateman Engineering to their consulting stable during August and that Bateman would be working with BD to finalize the recovery process verification report, now expected toward the end of September. For the week, NAXOF was the only DD to show positive results (up 12%), with the other 4 down between 8 and 15% for the week.
For the week ending September 12, NAXOF was up 12%, IPMCF was -8%, GPGI was -9%, CHIP was -11% and MXAM was -15%.
For the 3rd Quarter to September 12 , NAXOF is +500%; CHIP is +47%, GPGI is even, IPMCF is -10%, and MXAM is -27%.
Year to date: MXAM is +330%, NAXOF is +71%, IPMCF is +46%, GPGI is +15% and CHIP is -48%.

Market Indices for the basket of 5 "Desert Dirts" have been calculated for three different investments.
(1) MARKET CAPITALIZATION (DDI-CAP) - Assumes $1000 invested equally in the 5 stocks on the basis of the market capitalization of the stocks as of 12/31/96.
(2) EQUAL SHARE AMOUNTS (DDI-SHR) - Asssumes $1000 invested by buying equal number of shares in the 5 stocks based on their 12/31/96 closing prices.
(3) EQUAL DOLLAR AMOUNTS (DDI-DOL) - Assumes $1000 invested by buying equal dollar amounts of the 5 stocks at their 12/31/96 closing prices.
