Attempting to make everyone like you in a climate of righting injustice and using deadly force to stand against corruption is a losing proposition IMO. You may earn your enemies respect but the only way to get them to like what you do, is to surrender to them. "IMO, many Americans still refuse to even admit it is an issue." Diplomacy is an issue. For civilized society to continue it is important for its members to behave in a polite and decent manner. That doesn't dismiss the fact that we have many adversaries who resent us.
