Unfortunately, you see only two sides; the anti-bush side and whatever you can pile onto it.

No. I was merely pointing out one additional point which JohnM had not stated and which I consider of great importance. I nowhere tried to list all the issues as I understand them. You might remember Mission Accomplished when we only had around 150 dead. Now we are close to 2K more than that. I try to understand why. Since I once lived under a nice law abiding stable government which suffered defeat at the hands of much less savory characters, I'm interested in why and how that happens. There are reasons, which have very little to do with simply demonizing your enemies, evil though they may be.

More people die of starvation, malnutrition, aids, and genocide in Africa than that, each day before you have had your morning coffee.

Between myself, my parents, my wife, and her parents my extended family has lived in five African countries from the 1960's till now, so I know a little about that. However, as Powell noted to Bush, you break it you own it. We have not invaded Africa.

More innocent Iraqis died because of malnutrition and lack of basic medical services during the sanctions in one month than that.

30K/month? Link?
