Let me butt in about Christians. A friend is a Presbyterian pastor in Ohio, and will tell you straight up that right wing Christians are the "false prophets" of our day, tax cuts and the war are immoral, and aaallllll the rest of the same line. She's bright, Princeton educated, writing a book on the underground railway, and totally condemns the conservatives, or "rabid republicans" I believe she calls them. This is not at all uncommon, this matching of the Pat Robertsons with inanities, IMHO.
