<Intel to Offer $1.4 Billion Junior Subordinated Convertible Debentures......intends to use the proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes. The company may use a portion of the proceeds to purchase shares of its common stock concurrently with pricing of the debentures.> Why? Something wrong with the other $12 Billion of cash and short term investments they already have no use for and no reason not to return to shareholders?
