Maybe it's because we were full of Democrats and had a Democrat mayor and a Dem Governor, neither of whom I voted for, while NYC was led by Giuliani, a Republican.


That's part of it. Plus the drama of the Big Apple getting hit. Plus the the downside of all the negatives out of the Big Easy.
