it's fellow travellers. No, it's our own leadership. However in great Strausian fashion they deny, distract, and are otherwise dishonest about their strategy. They know their days in government are limited, so they spend now to insure that whoever follows will not have as powerful a position as they hope to have. Not all their strategies turn out according to plan. Don't you notice how every issue is greeted with a bottomless checkbook? TP
