killing someone who is securely in custody is not.
HOW securely in custody? Are you ready to say no convicted killer has ever escaped and not killed again????

Capital punishment, in my view, is barbaric and uncivilized, no matter how monstrous the crime that's committed.
May we be saved from such civilization. The Europeons. They're that bunch that sat there for YEARS and watched genocide in the former Yugoslavia and did NOTHING about it till the US led them in, right?

You want to try some new arguments? I don't think those will fly.

If they won't work, let them starve to death. And if they kill each other off like rats in a cage, then c'est la vie.
You don't REALLY believe that the USSC wouldn't rule that "cruel and ununusual punishment", do you?

Besides, it takes more than just killing someone to get a death penalty in CA. It takes "special circumstances". Like torture. Or kidnapping. Or murdering a police officer. Or multiple murders, like Tookie's little spree.

If Tookie wants sympathy, it's between "sex" and "syphilis" in the dictionary. I feel it for his victims and their families.
