Thanks for posting that. Personally, I don't put much credence in such polls as they represent a far to black-and-white view of markets, when the reality is most traders live in gray. Actual Position Poll shows 52% at least partially long, and 22% at least partially short... This fails to account for people who are both. Or for those who happen to be long because that's the last signal they got, but are one stop-out from being short. The trading world is a lot different than it was in 1987. Now you've got indie traders running fully automated dispersion baskets through IB, labels like "bull" and "bear" simply don't apply to a significant majority of trading volume.
