Company Press Release

Greater Lenora Resources Corp. Coarse Crushing & Leach Tests Prove Positive for Goldfields Gold Ore

KIRKLAND LAKE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997-- (TSE:GEN.) R.J. Kasner, President of Greater Lenora Resources Corp., ``GEN'', is pleased to report the following information.

Since the spring of 1997, GEN has been carrying out metallurgical testing on ore from it's Goldfield's Project gold deposits as recommended by its Consultant Dan A. Mackie P. Eng. GEN is pleased to report that these tests have been highly successful in that consistent recoveries of gold in the 88 percent to 94.3 percent range were realized on ore leached at a P80 (80 percent passing 10 mesh).

Previous metallurgical work had been completed on samples reduced to P80 (80 percent passing 350 mesh) which resulted in high capital and power costs. It is expected that the present results will significantly reduce power and capital costs. Laboratory work continues to finalize recovery expectations as are Engineering Studies, to determine the overall effects on capital and operating costs.

Present mineable reserves estimated by GEN using the most conservative manual polygonal technique is 12,068,615 Tonnes, grading 1.934 grams per Tonne, or 750,000 ounces gold. These reserves are all in the previously outlined pits and do not contain any other potential ore which GEN Management believes could be substantial with further exploration. GEN Management is committed to putting the Goldfields Property into production.

GEN is a Canadian based Exploration Company with several gold properties in its portfolio with the most advanced being the Goldfields' Project, situated in Northern Saskatchewan. GEN also controls a 70,000 acre land position in the area.
