Below we have presented as facts in evidence conclusion that are not crystal clear. Go directly to the circular file. IN fact what is now known is that gross errors in reporting fictions as fact created a major distortion of what really happened and the response of FEMA and others.

What New Orleans has is local officials who will spent more time covering their asses than looking to find solutions. The problems occurred because spin, not action is their forte. They are still the movers and shakers. Ok they are still the shakers.

Why would any good people want to jump into a place where spinners are looking for folks to blame? Engineers hate politics.

Do lawyers know dick squat about human nature or engineering? I'm still looking for evidence.

I read this letter as just more emotional nonsense from an ill informed citizen.

the delays in Federal assistance, the unpreparedness of FEMA, the sluggishness

It is crystal clear that the Corps of Engineers made terrible errors in engineering, design, and supervision of the construction of the levee system and canal banks. Designing for and permitting installation of sheet piling which reach only 10 feet below sea level in soft, peat-like soil, to support a levee system was gross negligence. Even the design plans called for 17 feet, and the experts who have examined the design say this was woefully inadequate.
