I make exceptions, and I actually agree with your statement. I'm just sending them an economic message. In effect, I'm telling them they're cutting of THEIR nose to spite their face. Actually, I recant my statement. I am interested in good acting, but political posturing by actors turns me off.

I don't care for Sean Penn at all, but he did a good job portraying a mentally challenged man who wanted to get custody of his child. I forget the title. Warren Beatty, I enjoyed in McCabe and Mrs. Miller. I love Bruce Springsteen's music. Dixie Chicks. The list goes on.

I just wish they would keep quiet or get out in the field ala Ronald Reagan and Charlton Heston.

To me, it seems actors who actually earn their stripes in politics are all conservative. Reagan, Heston, Fred Thompson, Arnold (somewhat, yeah, I know), Sonny Bono, etc. Does anybody know any left wing actors who made good in politics, other than using their bully pulpit to flap their jaw?
