Good article. I am going to add another straw to that pile of concern. The ratio of baby boys to baby girls has been increasing for many decades due to 'choice' of sex at birth by the parents. In India, China, and Korea where the statistics are pretty well monitored, the ratio of boys to girls is something like 117 to 100. When you extrapolate that over the billions in the corresponding populations, you find that we may now have 50 to 100 million excess young men in those populations. This is the first time in history that the world culture will be impacted by this type of change in demographic. Can we assume this trend is present in other regions? It seems reasonable to me that we could make that assumption.

The next couple of decades will be very interesting.
