They didn't oust him. He was never a member. Okay, I admit they don't seem to have a public member roster. I'm still taken by the fact that it is only when the neocons have influence that his plans are put into action. There hasn't been a coherent domestic message because the neocons are not really players in that arena That's not true of such well identified neocons as Bill Bennett. His morality push has a major domestic focus. I was thinking the other day, that his ethical problems could be Straussian. It is possible that since he puts forth a noble-lie about values, and he knows that it is a persona, he is psychologically compelled to act contrary to what he says as a way of identifying with the elite - those in the know.
