I think a lot of the editorializing in the article you linked was extraneous. Maybe because it's tough to talk about racism, expecially when it's minorities who are engaged in racism, here Muslim-on-non-Muslim racism. It seems interesting to me because so many of the European responses to Muslim-on-non-Muslim racism have been so flaccid. But the response of the Aussie-Brit "boyz" seems consistent with the stereotypes of Aussie-Brit male culture. They seem from afar like a nation of soccer hooligans. Why any dozen or even two dozen Aussie-Lebanese boys would be foolhardy enough to take them on by attacking Aussie women is what amazes me. But, sadly, the ones who will suffer are not the ones who started it. It's all the rest, Lebanese-Aussies all over Australia and people who "look Middle Eastern." Well, that was predictable, no? In Australia, anyway. But not in France. At least no overt anti-Middle Eastern violence. Will the Muslim-on-non-Muslim attacks be without backlash? Oh, I doubt it. The elites will wring their hands and the ordinary people will hate Muslims even worse.
