That's really interesting. She and I are quite in sync and I think of myself as a feminist. I've been an active feminist since I was in college and this whole thing started. I've worked hard for equality for women and was personally on the line and at the front of the charge often. I don't mind so much not being thought a feminist because feminist excess has given the cause a bad name in many quarters but anti-feminist is too much. It's just the same as blacks calling Bill Cosby anti-black.

I've posted a couple of times during the discussion, not on Cathy's blog but elsewhere. I don't think that a lot of people who are on the other side of this have any sense of how far we've come or how tough it was. Nor do they remember what we were fighting for. I remember the prefeminist days clearly.
